COVID-19 Information

Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, Taiwanese government has announced several crucial policies for battling against the pandemic.

 

1. Border control

Only Taiwanese citizen, holders of Taiwanese ARC, and foreign travelers with special entry permits are allowed to enter the country.

Starting from the 1st of December, travelers entering or transiting through Taiwan must present a COVID-19 nucleic acid test report issued within 3 days before boarding.

 

2. Entry quarantine 

All travelers are required to go to a quarantine hotel for a 14-day quarantine period upon entering the country.

Individuals who violate quarantine regulations are subject to fines of $100,000 to 1 million NTD.

 

3. Community transmission prevention policies 

From December 1, 2020, masks are required in places with high risks of infection and transmission in order to effectively prevent spread in the community.

Refusal to wear a mask despite being advised by personnel of the place is subject to a fine of NT$3,000 to NT$15,000.

 

Yuehan Xuetang will help students who are enrolled in our program apply for special entry permits.

However, students should strictly follow all COVID-related regulations, including arriving on assigned dates, providing nucleic acid test report, completing self-quarantining etc.
