The Department welcomes applications for faculty positions at all academic ranks (Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor) in one of the following areas of specialization:

　(1) Teaching Chinese as a Second Language

　(2) Chinese Intellectual History

Application documents

　(1) Completed Application Form (five hard copies; electronic file available for download at https://cl.site.nthu.edu.tw/p/426-1401-48.php?Lang=zh-tw )

• Full CV including a list of publications
• A statement outlining research interests, future research plans, and teaching philosophy
• Syllabi for at least 2 courses
• Abstract of the representative scholarly work in both Chinese and English
• Personal Information Summary for Faculty Applicants

　(2) One representative work (including academic publications or dissertations) and up to four additional works (academic publications), for a total of no more than five works. Please provide the full text of each work.

• For unpublished works, include proof of acceptance.
• For works written in languages other than Chinese, please include a Chinese abstract.

　(3) A copy of the highest degree certificate

• Candidates with foreign degrees must have their academic credentials (including transcripts) verified by the Taiwan Overseas Representative Offices.

　(4) Two recommendation letters, to be signed and sent directly by referees to cl@my.nthu.edu.tw.

　(5) Please submit electronic copies of items (1) through (3) to the following email address: cl@my.nthu.edu.tw.

Selection Process

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a presentation and interview in December, 2025.
